TAP POINT
ProPresenter setup
Connect slide-note cues to your church’s saved Tap Points with the Tap Point Connector.
ProPresenter automation is available on Plus and Pro. Create your Location and save its Tap Points before connecting your production computer. The Connector is separate from the website and Companion module.
Install on Mac (Apple Silicon)
- Download the Mac installer and open the .dmg file.
- Drag Tap Point Connector into Applications. Replace an older version if prompted.
- Open the app from Applications. This preview is not notarized by Apple.
- If macOS says the developer cannot be verified, first attempt to open the app, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll to Security, select Open Anyway, and confirm Open.
If macOS reports a damaged app or malware, stop and download the latest installer or contact support. Do not disable Gatekeeper globally. Managed computers may require administrator assistance. See Apple's app security instructions.
Install on Windows (x64)
- Download the Windows installer and run it.
- Choose the installation location, finish setup, and open Tap Point Connector from the Start menu.
Windows previews are unsigned. If Windows displays an unknown-publisher warning, verify that you downloaded from tappoint.live before deciding whether to continue.
Connect and test ProPresenter
- Select Sign in to Tap Point in the Connector.
- In your browser, sign in, name the computer (for example Main sanctuary Mac), and approve the matching code.
- Return to the Connector and follow the setup walkthrough. Your church appears at the top left. After setup, use My Account to change the port, Keywords to edit mappings, and Dashboard to check connections and activity.
- In ProPresenter, enable Settings → Network. Copy its API port into the Connector and select Check connection.
- Add a keyword and choose a Location and saved Tap Point. To use a Tap Page, save its public URL as a Tap Point first.
- Add a cue such as
[tap:give]on its own line in a slide's notes. Test the mapping, then arm automatic changes and advance to that slide.
Test changes the active Tap Point for the Location. The app starts paused, and arming does not replay the slide already live. If an error pauses automation, check the Tap Point before retrying.
Before your service
Check the connection, test each mapping, and arm automation when you are ready. Only explicit [tap:keyword] markers in the current slide’s notes trigger changes. Ordinary slide text does not. Keep the Connector open on your production computer.
Contact Tap Point with the app version, operating system and error message if you need help.
