TAP POINT
How Tap Point works
Set up your church’s NFC tags and QR codes once. Keep every next step current from one workspace.
1. Create your account and choose a plan
Enter your account details, then choose Free, Plus or Pro. Free is selected to start. After choosing your plan, enter your church name and organization address. Confirm your email to continue; paid plans then open secure Stripe checkout before you finish setting up your workspace.
2. Create your first Location
Open My Locations and name where people will tap or scan, such as your welcome desk or seat cards. Add a complete https:// link for its first Tap Point: your connect card, giving page, event registration or website.
3. Put its permanent URL on your tag or sign
A Location has one permanent URL. Its NFC tag and QR code use that same address, so both open the active Tap Point.
- For QR: download the Location’s QR code and add it to your sign or screen.
- For NFC: open your NFC-writing app, add a URL record and paste the permanent Location URL.
- Write the tag, then tap or scan it with your phone to check the page that opens.
Use the permanent Location URL shown in My Locations. Your giving or event link is the saved Tap Point, which you can change later.
4. Save your next steps and switch when needed
Add more saved Tap Points to the Location. Select Activate when people need a different link. Your printed QR code and NFC tag stay the same. Free includes one Location and two Tap Points; Plus and Pro include unlimited Locations and Tap Points.
5. See what people use
Check activity and tap totals in My Locations. Standard analytics and activation history are included on every plan, with no per-tap fees. Tap totals count recorded visits, rather than unique people.
Optional: create a Tap Page
On Plus or Pro, create a page with several next steps and save its public URL as a Tap Point. Plus pages use Tap Point branding; Pro pages can use your church logo and colors. Add your church branding in My Account.
Optional: connect your service tools
- ProPresenter: use explicit slide-note cues through the separate Connector app. Follow the ProPresenter setup guide →
- Planning Center: map live Services items to saved Tap Points in Integrations.
- Companion: use the dedicated Tap Point module for manual buttons and Stream Deck workflows.
- Scheduler: set timed changes that run independently of your production computer.
These tools are available on Plus and Pro. Start with a tested manual Location, then add the automation your team needs.
